If you love to write like I do then you need to know how to get paid for it. This is especially important in this economy. I personally have done jobs for just about every company that is out there and very few are actually truly legit.
I am currently writing for several online companies. One of the happens to be the link that I have included at the beginning of this blog post. For native English speakers, this is a great company that pays on time every Thursday night. While all of the assignments are ghost writing assignments, it still allows you to be creative and make money. Plus, it is great experience.
Of course, there are always online companies like Helium, Associated Content, Triad and Shared Reviews. The list could really go on and on. Each of them is a great source of additional income but they do not pay quite as well or as often. I suggest that you try out my link and see if they are right for you. Give them a chance. You may need to write many articles for the first few weeks in order to get into the rhythm but once you do, you will love the paycheck!

My thoughts on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
July 15, 2011 is the day that the last Harry Potter movie will come out. It is a great day but also a sad one. No more midnight showings, no more anticipation wondering if the next movie will be anything like the book. It is really an end of an era.
For me, the Harry Potter series is more than just a book series. Yes, I am a little too obsessed with it but it also allowed my autistic son to enjoy reading. For whatever reason he really connected with the entire series. I think being able to read the books and then see it come to life made reading more real to him. It wasn't just words on paper. It was much more than that.
By the end of kindergarten my son was reading Harry Potter books. It was amazing to me, especially since they are fairly difficult for most children that age. I loved watching him actually connect with the characters. Seeing him show emotion about something was rare. To me, it was almost a miracle.
I think that most autistic children have at least one thing they can connect with. Many times, this will become their obsession. In their world they may not be able to connect or understand most things. I say use what they are interested to encourage them.
My son's reading skills really improved reading this series and that allowed him to read about his other interests. His main interest other than HP is Disney, especially Disneyland. He is a great reader and he researches all the time for his weekly podcast about Disney. I thank the HP series for that.
For now, my younger daughter is beginning to read the series and my I am hopeful that my youngest son will, too. If not, then I will encourage them to read a series that interests them and helps to strengthen their reading skills. For me, reading is important above most other aspects of education. Being a strong reader helps a student in every other aspect of their education. That is just my two cents...

Finding Time to Write
I love to write. This is especially true when I find what I am writing interesting. Unfortunately, a lot of what I get paid to write is not interesting to me at all. In fact, it can become quite tedious. Sometimes I feel like quitting and getting a "real" job. The fact is, these types of assignments actually help me to grow as a writer much more than when I write something that I like. The reason for this is that I have to take my time, proof read more and I also need to do much more research. I find that it helps me to get creative.
If you think that you would like to grow as a writer and also get paid, I suggest to read my blog post http://robynwalker.blogspot.com/2011/04/how-to-make-money-writing.html. This will explain how I make money weekly. If you are an Native English speaker and writer then this blog is perfect for you.
Another way that I like to make money in between assignments is through a site that I discuss in this post http://robynwalker.blogspot.com/2011/04/great-site-to-make-money-writing.html. This is actually a fun company to write for because you will be writing reviews on anything you want. If you like something, you don't like something, write about it! Its fun.
I have to say that after a few years of writing for online companies, I have narrowed down the best companies to work for. Demand Studios, Triond and Helium are also great to write for. It will get you published online and this will definitely help your resume. If you know of any great companies to write for please let me know by commenting to this post. Thanks!
